In reverse order:

3. A toyota Corolla (Sprinter) 1990 1.6L 16 valve.

2. A toyota Corolla (RSI) 1997 1.6 20valve. I have reason to believe that this
is still the fastest N/A factory standard 1600cc we have seen in South Africa.
It produces 115kw and got to a hundred kph in 7.71 seconds. I loved this car.

1. My beloved Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.9TDI, again, the fastest 1.9TDI (Factory standard) in South Africa. I've enhanced the software so this just makes it such a nippy car to drive. The bottom end power is such a pleasure to have, especially at high altitude.

Hi mate just reading about yout TDi i had mine remapped and was so impressed like yourself. check out my Youtube vid search under JJSPINXY. 0-60mph 7secs plus 60mpg thumbsup

I've owned only 5 cars over 25 years, not very much.
My first was a Opel Ascona B-type,took out the 1600 engine and stuffed in the 2.0E with standard 4 speed gear box.Wheels spinned in second gear also, big fun, only lasted for 5000 miles lol lol
Second one was the Opel Manta 2.0E with billstein header and 2.5" exhaust system,I still hear the low grumble...
After that the Alfa33,quick little thing with 80bhp.
Now I own a focus 1800 (actually the mrs allways drives it) and bought recently my dreamcar, the Subaru WRX (2005).Don't think I have to explain what kind of expierence that is thumbsup thumbsup

Great vid mate. We never got to see those models here. My cupra is a 2008 model, it produces 118kw - 158hp standard. The powerbox gives it 20% more power, so 189hp. Torque goes to 390nm. The amazing thing is that it has great traction for a front wheel drive. I hope they have one in GT5. I would love to push it to the limits without puting my life in danger...lol

I've only had 4 cars, the first two were gifts from my parents that came with the driver's license, starting with a Citroen Via 1.4 RE that was totalled in 6 days when a truck driver didn't see me standing still for a traphic light. Next one was a Golf II D that lasted 2 years. Both not my choice but then, they were cheap and given with all good intentions.

My first own purchased car was an Alfa Romeo 155 1.7 TS, bought plain stock and after that I visually tuned it to my liking. You nkow the stuff, bigger wheels, open exhaust, spoiler set etc.

After 6 years with only 1 serious problem, broken sparkplug that entered the engine, I replaced it with an Alfa Romeo 166 3.0 V6 24v in Aurora Iridescente pearlescent color. The 3.0 engine is about to be replaced with a GTA 3.2 V6 that will undergo some minor tuning. And in the 3,5 years I own this Alfa it has also undergone some visual changes although a little more decent and suitable to the business-like nature of the car. Still, the 166 is a pretty rare car to see on the road, let alone one that's non-standard Big Grin

158 standard wow. Mine was 105bhp standard with 0-60 12secs. The max i could get was about 145bhp But you can easily up the injectors with a nice big garret turb plus cooler and air box. But thats me dreamin. thumbsup

Still, it's great power for just playing with the software. Not many cars have that option.
Seat was the 2008 production car winner in its debut season, beating the likes of the ford ST, Mazda MPS, Golf V GTI etc. Sadly, Seat pulled out of South Africa so all 2008 models were the last.
There has been speculation that they will return after the world cup. I would love to get a new one.

Owned a few cars (and most of them terrible) and most have been family saloons or 4x4's but out of what I've had my top 3 are -

Third - Probably the Ford S-Max we have. For such a large MPV it's a nice car to drive, especially compared to some of the cars I've had. A lot of the interior mods make driving this over long distances very comfortable.

Second - One of the first decent-ish cars I owned was a Tigra (2.0i I think). Handled great and was fun to drive as it had a fair bit of grunt. Had this car before having kids and it was just such a fun and pleasent car to drive.

First - Mazda MX-5 2.0i Sport Tech. Only just got this but after test driving it I just fell in love with the handling. Such a classic shape, this model looks great inside and just handles beautifully. It will no doubt be looked upon as my 'mid-life crisis' purchase. smile

Ive only ever owned one car and that was a 1989 VW Polo Square Back, not even a litre, It was Brown. Ran good though, nothing ever wrong with it. Had to sell it and been off the road for ages now. Got a new job so im now looking for a Renault Clio 1998 Model Onwards, what im going to do is nothing visually, well maybe some alloys but thats all. Im just going to concentrate on whats going on under the bonnett Wink so when i turn up to that track day in my Visually stock Clio, it will surprise everyone smile
