I suppose this doesn't really count, but I can pick the worst car that my dad ever owned. A 1997 Rover 214 (Honda engine version) in British Racing Green. Don't get me wrong...it was comfy and quite nippy for a 1.4. But everything kept breaking on it. Head gasket went 4, yes, 4 times in 8 years. The passenger side front electric window broke twice, the second time actually falling out onto the road and smashing...the radiator went after 3 years, the alarm would randomly go off for no reason (Always in the dead of night swear )...horn stopped working at one point as well...I could carry on all day. In other words, my dad had the sheer bad luck of buying a "Friday afternoon car"...

My dad finally had the sense to get rid of the wretched thing after the engine seized...the oil warning light had failed so my dad didn't know it was losing oil. Stupid thing...good riddance. swear

If it was most unreliable then it would have been my Stilo, but then, the problems it had were 9 times out of 10, caused by me anyway Embarassed lol

Even my old Austin Metro 1275 was good fun to drive, never really had a "worst" car, hmmmmmmm.

Got me thinking now, tick tock lol

That's easy, my first car. A Mini Clubman. I was so pleased to finally be on the road but the piece of shite fell apart around me, including break failure at a set of red traffic lights. Driving fart

I have to say my old Vauxhall Corsa B 1.4 8v

Was just crap. I men who the hell puts the steering wheel offset to the driving position and the pedals?

Ended up stripping it out, spraying it Orange and Black and ragging the hell out of it.

Sold it and within 3 days the new owners had stuffed it.

I have another bad car to add here. My nan's old 1982 Talbot Horizon. She was telling me about this car earlier on today. Again, like my dad's Rover, this was a "Friday afternoon" car...

First off, it was painted in an absolutely dreadful gloss orange colour. As soon as my nan drove it off the forecourt the dashboard started rattling, the windscreen started rattling, the windscreen wipers stopped working after a couple of months, engine started making weird wheezing and whining noises after a year or so...she had it 4 years and everything that could possibly break on it, broke. What really did it was when she had an accident sometime in 1984...a twonk in a lorry driver rear ended her at a set of traffic lights. The car was never the same again. Then she had another accident in 1986 which destroyed the car completely. How my nan survived on both occasions is beyond me...she's very lucky.

She then replaced the Talbot with a 1986 C reg 1.0 Vauxhall Nova...that was a wonderful little car. Never let her down. thumbsup

My dads name for the insurance and he used to go mental cos id change the car every couple of mnths. The insurance would phone the house and he wouldn't know wat there on about. He he poor old dad know wonder he's got tons of grey hair.
