It looks like an online private lobby

The event information, I will hazard a guess, would be set up by the 'host' and then as a participant you can set yourself up in the 'my car information' section

What does anyone think about the bit Jase has highlighted?

- Event mode looks fairly straight forward with the clock/TT and checkered flag/Race symbols.

- Event Settings is intriguing, could this be an option for the number of laps or even, dare I say it, weather effects???

- Regulations - I can't begin to imagine what that is.

- Regulations . I think PP points limit ( or locked to stock settings), physics mode, maybe tyre restrictions, collisions on/off, Flags???? DAMAGE on/ off, mandatory Pit stops. ???

If I hadn't gotten so excited about these pictures the first time I looked at them I would have seen that the two rows of icons below the main three are in fact expansions of the second two main icons.

The second string clearly says 'Regulations'

It also shows the PP and Tyre types highlighted/selected.

Pic 4 and 5 are also interesting..

Will we get that too??? or is that just for the Academy.
Do you really think that we'll get a GT5 that will log all the race data and allow us to filter and sort it?

If so this will be great as it will help out with TT's and online championships etc

Above is a zoomed picture from one of the screen shots.

Here is my theory on the top bar:

Padlock - The ability to create Private Races
Map Image - Either how many laps the races are or how many tracks in the race series.
Flag - The option to turn race flags on and off, yellow flags, red flag and black flag
Car - The option to turn damage on or off or various damage settings, mechanical or cosmetic etc etc
Speak - The option to turn either voice chat on or off. The option to turn pit crew cheif voice on or off?

The next two images are something to do with the amount of racers in the lobby or how many of your friends from your PSN that are playing GT5.

WOW! GT has always been a great driving sim, not such a great motor racing sim though in my opinion. If we truly have a flag system (that's similar to most motor sport rules) & all those other realistic features on offer, then this could be the ultimate, intense full on motor racing experience ever!

Definetely, I'll have to reserve my holidays for when this game is finally released
