Here are the latest Features revealed by gtplanet from PTOM Feb 2010 Issue:

1,000+ vehicles
All vehicles have modeled cockpits (170 premium cars will have interior damage modeling)
All vehicles will have both physical and mechanical damage modeling
Indy (IRL) cars and tracks
NASCAR cars and tracks
Up to 16 players online
High-definition video uploads directly to YouTube
Multi-display rendering
Head-tracking
Full weather and night racing on all tracks
Night/Day cycle on all tracks

cant wait for GT5 wish they would hurry up, might get it imported from japan if i cant wait for it to come here

Full Weather and Day/Night cycles on all tracks.
I wonder if this will be real time stuff.
With the option to overide that so you could race in the day if you wanted.
It would be pretty awesome to start a race in daylight or dusk and finish it at night
If so would this mean that all cars will have automatic headlights.?

What I'd really like to know is how they've delt with the online side of things.
I'm stil hoping for psword protected private rooms,the ability to invite friends or save spaces on the grid for people.

Oh and one more thing .
