I recently bought the F1 car on GT5P ( curious to see what it was like using the wheel)
,,as the car is driving in a straight line at speed,, the steering wheel shakes back and forth , making the car rock violently..does this happen to anyone else,, or is my wheel broke! theres nothing i can do to stop it ,, apart from turn slightly back an forth!

Understeer is when you hit the
wall with the front of the car. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with
the back of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you send the wall across the field once youve hit it!

Its not Broke mate - you have to hold your steering wheel with the f1 car to get it to go in a stright line and i mean hold it with your life .... thumbsup or maybe you can try adjusting the force feedback maybe that will help ...havnt tried it as i love the feeling.... Driving

Hold on for life is understatement, its hard work,, my table and elbows are going to give soon,,whoa i can see it ,, glad its not broke,, strange it does that?.. The F1 is mad to drive though so much grip,, and when you think u cant go any faster round that corner,, like the elbow section on fuji,, u can , just having the balls to do it,,is knowing when the aerodynamic grip starts , still sussing it out,, loving it though,, cheers shane cheers

The wobble around the center, if that's what you mean: that is normal, yes. Makes it extra hard work but I love it! Agree with Zaper, don't turn down the force feedback!!!

feedback is max, and power steering is off skid ,, all gd, but i still don't understand why it wobbles like that, it does make it harder.

Some other car do it on GT5P too, especially if you loosen your grip on the wheel down the straights. I've never seen a real F1 car behave like that on TV, so it's not very realistic imo.

I've only driven the F1 a couple of times because of this. As you say Martin not very realistic and too much like hard work instead of fun.

I've noticed both the EVO X and Tuned EVO X do it but no where near as violently.

I always put it down to the fact that surface was too rough compared to what the F1 cars are supossed to run on

I struggled hopelessly with my 200 degree logitech pro ex. It was the case for every car, and it destroyed me with the last GT demo.
It has been much better since I bought the DFGT.

BTW, what difference does the power steering make...? Mine has always been on.
