I got to get me a new wheel the DFP is on it's way out.

The question is DFGT or G25 I can't afford the G27 so thats outta the question.

I know some of you here use the G25.
But have any of you used the DFGT, or both ?

Theres a big price difference between the two.

i use a DFGT and its good , but its the only wheel ive ever used so i cant compare it to any other . the only thing thats a little annoying at first is the noise it makes but you soon get use to that.

i think the dfgt is a dfp with more buttons in is no wear near as powerful (force feedback)
as the g25, the g25 has been built to last, i would strongly recomend the g25 on pure engineering merit alone..... for me the only upside of the dfgt is that it is easyer to change settings like brake balance in a race (not that i have ever done this but it would be nice to have the buttons on the wheel).........

ps i have a g25(it's the dogs dangleys, dfp and the old df i don't have a dfgt but my mate round the corner has so have used it and it's not a patch on the quality feel of the g25....... 1 last thing if i had the cash i would buy a g27 straight away just for the extra buttons and apparently improved gear stick feel.... oh yeah and the movable pedals!!!!

i have always found the screaming wheel abit annoying so from early on i have been wearing headphones whenever i play....... all wheels are abit noisy!!

Jase if you have the cash go for the G25. It is seriously worth the pennies .

I used to use a DFP but it felt tacky, flimsy and cheap (I'm not meaning to offend anyone who still uses one of those, just my opinion) and I really hated the plastic pedals.

The G25 on the other hand feels sturdy and well made and can take some vigorous use with ease . The quick shift paddles on the back of the wheel are solid and change gears without any hassle, the leather trimmed wheel is another nice little feature and the whole thing feels weighty.

The only fault I have with the G25 is the appauling, shite, crappy, useless and pointless H shifter. It feels like stirring porridge every time you go to change gears with it. I personally leave it set in the quick shift mode and chnage gears using the paddles on the back of the wheel itself.

Admitadly the Dial button on the DFGT is a nice little touch and probably does make for quicker adjustment settings for the cars in real time, but you can also map the D pad button on the G25 to do the exact same job.

Ben : Thats what I thought about the dfgt too. Just a dfp with a few bits tacked on.

Seriously though thats a bit of a shame as I really like the idea of using a proper H-gate in game.


Currently haggling over a g25 fingers crossed.
The guy is only an hour away from me so I could be there and back in time to still get and see the new year in

£120 and a 130 mile round trip later.
I'm now the proud owner of a G25.

It's going to take a bit of getting used to after the DFP.

The biggest issue being the clutch pedal is not the brake pedal.
So if you see me sailing of track at 100 mph you know what happened

damn damn damn damn damn it , just read all these replies and feel a bit stupid. your all right the dfgt does feel tacky,if id just waited another week at the time i brought it i could have easily afforded a g 25 and now its january and im as good as skint .....
