Nixim G25/G27 Brake Modification.

Fitting this mod (the rubber block inside the spring) gives you a progressive feel to the brake which makes threshold braking far more intuitive, and much improves pedal responce with heel and toe braking. This mod can only be used when the pedals are fitted into a strong racing chassis or securely fixed to the floor.

For more info click here.

AP Electrix Brake Modification for G25/G27.

The AP Electrix G25 load sensor modification is designed to replace the potentiometer and spring mechanism in the Logitech pedal assembly. When used in the brake position, it allows a more realistic action of braking by offering mechanical resistance similar to the amount found on a real car.

Perfect Pedal Hydraulic Brake Modification for G25/G27.

When you push on the Perfect Pedal, it compresses a hydraulic cylinder that is attached to a pressure sensor. This sensor's electronic output goes into our proprietary circuit board, which translates the signal into a form that is compatible with your computer hardware. You have complete adjustment of the total force needed to stop and also how much the pedal travels.

Very interesting stuff Martin.
Ive had my G25 pedal block apart several times to rectify
the "flickering brake" problem , so can identify with the steps involved .. loool.
(might post this as an article at some point, in case anyone else
suffers the same problem)

Im hoping soon to build a custom platform for my G25 , probably using MDF or the like (money permitting). Am gonna finalize a design and will gladly post it here if its a success.
Meantime i just wondered if anyone had a design already for a
"driving station" they had built.

Mike, the next time you open your brake pedal why don't you fit a stronger spring, this should help with the brake flicker.

I have used the Nixim Brake Mod but unless you have your pedals fully secured..eg bolted down, they move about quite alot due to the extra effort required to press the brake pedal.

I currently have in the pipeline an adaptor being made to mount my Momo wheel to my G25, the guy who works next door to my work place is an engineer and metal fabricater and when he has a spare afternoon he'll get around to it Big Grin .

I have also fitted springs with extra resistance and slightly thicker coils into my brake and accelerator pedals to help improve resistance and I must admit it has worked a treat.

But once you start modifying.....when do you stop and draw the line?

Thanks Craig , but the flicker is cured.
I removed a couple of mill from the end of the plastic travel stop
to allow the pot to fully rotate back.

The mod i fancy the most is to mount the pedal plate above your feet and reverse the pedals so that the travel is as you would find in most cars, rather than pressing pedals into the floor.
(As shown in one of VBR's videos)

Thanks craig I dont feal the need just yet for the mods. I might wait until my g25 is over 12 months old as it still under gurantee. The mod i would like to do most is step up the size of the wheel.

I'm waiting for the Nixim brake mod to arrive. Depending on it's strength I might consider using it for the gas pedal as well. Always having trouble to be really really gentle with it, too soft for me (or my foot is too heavy). It mustn't become as hard as a brake pedal to press, but it could just use a little extra resistance. So first wait and feel how stiff the Nixim part is, and if it can be used or adjusted to be useful for the G27 gas pedal too.

Quick question chaps, On the G25 and G27 H Shift, Is the H identical to a Real Car? as in 5 or 6 gear with an extended HI or is it just a (H)? Ive never used one and would really like to upgrade in the Future.
