Hi guys just bought a new gt driving force wheel. ive installed it correctly and assigned the controller to port 1 and turned off the hand held controller. Ive got full control with the buttons on the wheel, the pedals work when racing as too do all the other buttons but the steering wheel doesnt turn at all i have no control.

Any ideas of whats wrong?

Congrats on your new purchase thumbsup

A few of our members on here already own that wheel, maybe they could advise you better.

When you plug your DFGT wheel into the PS3 via it's USB connection, does the wheel self calibrate? ie turn lock to lock all by its self?

Hi madxx! I know that it's very trivial, but... Do you connect the supply?

See you around.

Just to let you know that in GT5 Prologue you do not need to disable the controller, you can use it on port 1 at the same time as any Logitech wheel.

hi chaps. I feel really stupid now, all it was, was i needed to press the throttle pedal to accept the wheel as the controller!!

On monday i went up to my loft and got some boards out (from an old chest of draws) and knocked up a farily sturdy table top. So i can bolt the wheel down now. I went up the hardware store and got some hinges and some wing nuts and ive made it so i can flat pack it, Its brilliant and the missus isnt moaning that its in the way......Yet!

regards madxr

Yeah itried some online racing yesterday, but unfortunately i didnt see anyone on there with a GT_Drivers tag.

Im still getting used to the new wheel ive got, Im getting better it will just take practice.

When the time trial challange was on in the 370Z i managed to get within 2.9 seconds of the fastest time (eddskill IIRC) but that was with a normal controller, i tried time after time after time but just couldnt get any faster than that time, Thats when i looked into it and realised people were using wheels and were able to control the car much better.
